It's 2:14am on Friday November 25th 2011. This may seem like an ordinary Friday, but it's not. This Friday has a special symbol. The symbol of a color. Black.
It's Black Friday, and I stand in this madness of pajama bottoms, $15 jeans, and $5 slippers, also known as the chaos of Old Navy. Drones of people stand in line, just to catch that one day a year deal. Waiting for when the hands on the clock strike 12. The carriage doesn't change into a pumpkin, but rather the prices change from dollars into cents.
So I stand here. As one of the other robotic drones. Slowly inching towards the register, where my money can finally be changed into my $15 pair of jeans.

Carousel
Meet me at the Carousel.
He echoed back to me as he vanished into the dark.
His figure blending in with the shadow.
I waited to see his return, but nothing.
So there I stood, in front of the bright lights.
Pig tails twirled in the wind, as animals circled round.
Laughter filled every crevice of the air.
There I stood.
Alone in the sea of love.
Waiting in front of the gleam.
Waiting in front of the Carousel.
